Our Learn to Play program (all genders) is designed to introduce children ages 6-7 to flag football, through a fun, encouraging, healthy and active learning environment.
Not only will the participants learn the fundamental skills of football through fun, engaging games, they will also learn essential life skills including leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork and respect.
As a Learn to Play Player you will receive:
Games:
SPRING: 2.0hr session every week comprising of both skill development drills and scrimmages.
SUMMER: 1h15m session every week comprising of both skill development drills and scrimmages.
FALL: 2.0hr session every week comprising of both skill development drills and scrimmages.
Coaches: Parent/Volunteer coach(es) to facilitate the drills and ref the games.
Equipment and Uniforms: Each player will receive two SCFFL jerseys and a flag belt. The players will be divided up each week into smaller groups to perform skill development drills and scrimmages.
Awards: Trophies and prizes will be given to all participants.
Session Dates: Sundays- April 27th-June 1st (excl. May 18); Playoffs: June 8th
Game Times: Double Headers- 9:30am - 11:30am
